Dear Family and Friends
I am going to tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there were two sister missionaries. They had just finished emailing their families and were driving to Walmart. All of a sudden, their phone rang. To their astonishment, it was their mission president. After turning off their music, they answered. “Hello, this is Sister Craig.” “Hello Sister Craig, you are just the person I am looking for.” Needless to say, the missionaries are now a little worried. President goes on to say, “I have a proposition for you. How would you like to do an exchange to Wyoming.” “Exchange? Like 24 hours? or am I being transferred?” President laughs, “You are being transferred. Is Sister Andrus there?” “Yes?” “We want Sister Andrus to start training.” And just like that, Sister Craig was emergency transferred to Wyoming and Sister Andrus is a trainer.
Sister Cade is waiting for her visa to come. That is why she came out in the middle of a transfer. She is going to the Czech Republic. We do language study in the morning. I obviously can’t help her so I sit in front of the heater and read the Book of Mormon while she talks in Czech. We have a potential investigator who speaks Czech and so we keep trying to contact her so Sister Cade can practice… and so we can get a new investigator 🙂
We had a lesson with Dick Gomez, one of our investigators. We took our senior couple as “members” so we could actually go in to teach him. Elder Horne likes to talk a lot in lessons but he didn’t talk until the end. We asked Dick to pray and he said no like he always does. Elder Horne stepped in and asked why? Then, he proceeded to teach Dick how to pray. By the way, Elder Horne has a fake leg, so Dick had to come over and kneel next to Elder Horne so he could read the pamphlet. Perfect position to pray. Elder Horne then helps Dick say the prayer, just like a parent teaching a child. The Spirit was so strong. When we went back on Sunday to talk to Dick just the two of us, he said he couldn’t stop thinking about the last lesson 🙂 It was a super great lesson.
We had a lesson with Mia, another investigator. We talked to her about being baptized on her birthday. She is asking her parents for permission. Prayers that her parents hearts would be softened would be awesome.
It snowed yesterday. It was really just slush but I parked the car in the garage and walked. Sister Cade wasn’t too sure if she liked that but I did 🙂 I loved being in my walking area. I would rather walk in the snow than drive in it 🙂
I am trying to think of things that happened this week. It has been crazy. I love being a missionary.
I love you all,
Sister Craig and I with the Stowells, they are out adopted parents.
