Dear Family and Friends,
This week has been super good. We have had a lot of interesting experiences with people in our area. We were also able to go to the temple this week before our zone conferences. That of course is always a wonderful experience in and of itself. It was the Eberhardt’s last zone conference so there was a lot of crying. It will be interesting to get a new mission president. Change is always good.
We were able to pick up a new investigator this week. She will be a lot of fun to teach because she doesn’t know she is actually investigating the church. She lives in the care center where a lot of our investigators live. We visit there almost everyday because there are a lot of people who do not have family who come and visit them. That makes me super sad. Family is one the most important things in this life and it breaks my heart to see people not care about their family. We spent some time with a lady this week who was sobbing because her daughter is acting up and not being respectful to her. Gee whiz, respect your parents and love your family. That is my rant for the day.
Here is a cool story. We were teaching a less active man on his porch the other day. He was telling us about President Burton, one of his stake presidents who had made an impact in his life. Then down the street walks this President Burton and his wife. They come over to talk to us and as they are walking closer I kept thinking, “wow, she looks super familiar.” Wanna know why? President Burton’s wife is Linda K. Burton, the general relief society president. No wonder I recognized her. I do not think I have ever met a sweeter lady in my life.
I love you all,
